What is the benefit of having a 1st class fitness score in the Marine Corps?
The higher your PFT score is, the more points you get toward promotion too, I agree with the first poster, however there's more.If you run a high PFT, you get points for promotion (this is only relevant from E-3 to E-4, as all promotions up to E-3 are based on time) as well as it's going to help you when you get your Proficiency and Conduct marks (Pro's and Con's) every 6 months. If you can PT and shoot and be a locked on Marine, you'll pretty much do well in the Marine Corps. It's really that simple. Keep up the good work. Stay motivated, don't get jaded by the bs.
